New Jewelry Collection: Fête

fête (fāt, fet)  noun
a festival; entertainment; esp., a gala entertainment held outdoors

I’m so thrilled to announce the Fête Collection!  This collection has been in the works for quite some time now, almost a year in the making, so it’s so satisfying to see it all come together.  I worked with the beautiful and charming Rachael Thomas, who modeled the pieces (and made that adorable yellow and orange banner you see in the photos, crafty girl that she is).  The shoot took place in Little Rock, Arkansas.

The pieces are made from stainless steel, which are sustainable, and the cords and chains used for almost every piece are vintage “new old stock”.  These are pieces that have never been used and are in new condition, but have never been sold off the shelf!  I felt that it was important to use vintage components because the concept behind this collection was all about nostalgia and celebrating moments with a childlike sense of wonder.  The ribbons and cords were a lovely way to add bits of color to these metallic pieces.

It’s tough to choose my favorites among these pieces but the Flag Pendant is a unique take on the monogram necklace, the Merci necklace is a neutral, everyday piece that’s easy to wear, and the Mon Petit necklace is just so much fun- how cute is that term of endearment?  Mon petit chou!

In addition to these photos, here’s a little video that’ll take you right on location.
