Noctiflora is a group of work that was inspired by the nocturnal garden. There are many flowers that bloom exclusively at night and some release their fragrance during the evening. Cereus flowers are amazing white blossoms that emerge and bloom only for a short time. The flower has layers of long petals that stretch, like a mane, and in the center is a delicate, feathery stigma.

When I began to design these pieces, I considered the delicate forms of the Cereus and others like it. Night blooming flowers rarely have any color; most are shades of white, which glow softly with reflected light. They have an ethereal and mysterious quality that I wanted to capture in this collection.
