You Could Use A Little Sunshine

July 1st, 2015

Samantha of Could I Have That? did another lovely post a few months back. She styled the Collect U Necklace with her other gold and diamond pieces.

It got me thinking about how my designs are meant to be worn with other precious pieces in your own collection, exactly the way Samantha wore them. But then that led me to another thought- what if they began to develop a bit of patina over time?

When the designs are textured and have an antique feel, that sort of patina is perfectly fine, desired even. But when an item starts out with a high shine, like many of the new Prismera pieces, you’ll want them to keep that bright polish.

I’ve always used a large Sunshine polishing cloth when dealing with castings, prototypes, and samples. Now that my newer pieces have a polished finish, it seems like it’s time to make sure you all have the option of having one of them on hand, when the finish on your pieces start to look a little less than perfect.

(The Sunshine cloth is now available for purchase in every jewelry listing. And if you just want to pick up a cloth without buying jewelry, not a problem! They’ll ship for free.)

Waiting For Spring

April 4th, 2015

For most people, it’s been all about the ringstack but let’s talk necklaces a bit. Little ones, with the lightest gold chains, perfect for bare decolletage as the weather warms up. Or for those of us who are still in the planning stages of our spring outfits because the lamb forgot to show up at the end of March.

Samantha of Could I Have That? created the loveliest look with these necklaces. All that gauzy white material against a sea of blush almost makes me want to unpack all my sundresses, until I am reminded of the windchill.

Millenial Pink Style

In the meantime, let’s just daydream about the sun hitting our legs while listening to this new to me song: Eliza Doolittle’s Pack Up.

Black Jewelry Edgy Modern

///

Adding and removing color can change the way a piece looks so much! I remade the Prism Collection in inky black stones and the style is a touch edgier, a few even look a bit more vintage. I’m loving the subtle shift, especially since black goes with ev-er-y-thing.

As with all the other new Prismera pieces, mix + match. Wear them with your own things, your grandmother’s things, and those earrings you stole from your sister.

(Are you signed up for the email list? It’s going out by the end of the week and will have exclusive goodies, here’s the heads up!)

Precious Little Things

prismera ruby jewelry 14k gold plated brass

I’m so excited about these new pieces! The classic Prism designs are updated with tiny sparkling rubies, set against black prongs, and the look is a bit Victorian.

And these chic little baguette rings in lovely, soft neutral shades. Milky moonstone, smoky topaz, speckled labradorite.

So romantic, don’t you think? It’s almost like they were made for Valentine’s Day.
